The rural church of Santa Maria di Panigale or Campanigalli in Bronzola di Campodarsego dates back to the 7th-8th centuries and is one of the oldest in the area. It is a simple brick building, many of the bricks are from the Roman era, with small splay windows and the facade embellished by an elegant 16th century gable. By observing it closely, you will notice brick strips placed in a herringbone pattern, which was a decorative motif in medieval times. Inside you will see curious graffiti on the walls dating back to the Middle Ages, which were probably done by pilgrims or soldiers passing through.
